The Brush runabout was a clever attempt to solve the issue of a lack of the low priced car in America, introduced in 1907 by Alanson P Brush the single cylinder car (also known as a one lung car) would fail to find its footing as the 1900s progressed. Brush hoping to find success under the leadership of the newly founded United States Motor Company joined in a merger, but unfortunately the demise of the parent company a couple years later would end up killing the Brush and many other storied brands and effectively killing the low priced single cylinder car in America too.
