International Childhood Cancer Day 2026 is an opportunity to raise awareness of childhood cancer globally while advocating for care that is truly holistic and people-centred. Childhood cancer care must be built around the needs of the child and family, not just the disease. In this film, we follow Renuka in Kathmandu. She is receiving cancer treatment, but treatment alone is not enough. To survive and recover, Renuka needs regular hospital appointments, psychosocial support, continuity of care, and the reassurance that she can return safely each time. That starts with something many of us take for granted: transport. Children cannot receive routine treatment, emotional support, or follow-up care if they cannot reach hospital consistently. When travel costs are unaffordable, families face overwhelming financial and emotional strain, and too often, treatment is abandoned. Through transport support, World Child Cancer helps children like Renuka attend appointments reliably, build trust with healthcare teams, and continue their journey towards survivorship. Transport is not an add-on to treatment. It is a critical enabler of holistic care, a practical solution that puts people first. Watch Renuka’s story and see how meeting practical needs makes dignified, continuous care possible. Support more children by donating today: https://fundraise.worldchildcancer.or...
