In this video we are going to be talking about the very low end frequencies. After applying a stereo maker to this phone audio we want to make sure that the low end is not a problem later in the mix. Our first instinct is to cut the low end with a high pass filter. Notice how the rain becomes more present as we cut the rumble. What happens is that now the rain sounds artificial because together with the rumble we have cut part of it. So instead of cutting the low end what we can do is attenuate it using a low shelf. In this way we can find a point where neither the rumble is annoying nor the rain is heard cut off. *All the music featured in this channel is our own unless otherwise stated.
