History of Google Street View - Russia

Map progression of Google Street View imagery across the country of Russia. Locations were gathered using vali, a tool by slashP: https://github.com/slashP/Vali Vali locations were then fed into a date extractor with a method found by emilyapocalypse. Note that this only finds the date of image capture, NOT the date of release. This method can only find dates of Google-preferred imagery at a given location, usually the latest date. Thus, limitations with the display of outdated coverage are present in the video, however most coverages are still accounted for.
