He became the first person in the world to use a cash machine, when he was chosen to withdraw money from Barclays' first ATM in Enfield, London, in 1967. Reg Varney passed away on November 16, 2008, at the age of 92, leaving behind a legacy as one of Britain’s most beloved comedic actors.
