This video shows a routine trabeculectomy surgery with the usage of Mitomycin-C to treat glaucoma. Mitomycin-C is one of the antimetabolites agents. It helps to prevent scarring and bleb failure after the surgery. Case description Before the surgery: 81 years old patient with open angle glaucoma in both eyes with a history of: cataract surgery + ELT - 17 months earlier. SLT - 6 months before the trabeculectomy. IOP in the right eye before the surgery was 21 with the following medications: Oral Acetazolamide. Topical Timolol hydrogenmaleat, Latanoprost, brinzolamide, and brimonidine tartrate. 3 months after the surgery: IOP in the right eye 3 months after the surgery was 11 mmHg with no anti-glaucoma drugs. Ocular examination revealed a normal functioning bleb with normal anterior chamber depth.
