It was the first time I've had an egg thrown at me since 1966. I'll let you guess how old I was at the time. But I think professionally it was a first." STORYLINE Steve Ballmer, the CEO of Microsoft, was heckled and had a few eggs thrown at him during a lecture to university students at the Corvinus University in Budapest. During the lecture to mainly economics students, a protester stood up and yelled at Ballmer to return "25 billion Hungarian Forints" in Hungarian wages, and then proceeded to toss eggs at Ballmer, none of which hit him. Ballmer hid behind the podium until the student was escorted from the lecture hall. The protester was most likely upset by the multi-billion forint contracts signed between Microsoft and the Hungarian state regarding Microsoft software, which many Hungarians feel is unfair. The protester was alone and after he was escorted from the lecture hall, Ballmer quickly turned the protest into a joke and continued with his lecture. "It was the first time I've had an egg thrown at me since 1966. I'll let you guess how old I was at the time. But I think professionally it was a first," he told the audience.
