Basically started out thinking about a unique way to stress those AM cases....a high compression build certainly will do that, especially if I can get a local "pro" logger to run the thing. THEN realized I didn't have all the parts, and then decided to morph the build to use what I had.....stumbled into the concept of converting the 372 X-torq that were filling up my trash bin into a really cool OE build. DIDN'T start out that way! But I'm happier with this new direction (IF it holds up) to take the 372 X-torqs as they get to the end and the folks say whats next.. And YES I saw my "eight vs. eighty typo. And really had cut out a bit too much of that discussion. Basically was trying to articulate this build saves having to buy a eighty dollar Original edition pattern carburetor and lets you use the X-torq long with the X-torq's filter holder. SO really assuming the rest of the saw is complete, just need a Cylinder kit of your choice in "Original Edition" pattern and the intake boot, clamp, and carb bracket to do this conversion. Use the rest of the "bones" from the deal X-torq saw....:) For those who don't know how to tell what they have, if the decomp is on the top its an X-torq, If it doesn't have a place for on OR if the decomp is on the side, its Original Edition 372. Also on OEM Husqvarna's, the tag gives the year. Here in the USA 2010 was the break point. If the saw is a 2010 or later chances are its an X-torq. BUT I have seen the X-torq cases on original edition (yes they work on OE's although and OE won't on a X-torq ) OE saw built prior to 2010.....
