Toaplan Done Right! Sophstar Indie Shoot Em' Up Review! Today I review a new Toaplan inspired indie shmup, Sophstar by Banana Bytes Studio. Like the excellent indie arcade beat em' up, Fight N' Rage, Sophstar is another arcade style indie game from South America, specifically Brazil. Overall, I cannot recommend Sophstar enough, it is a very polished and well constructed indie shmup that knows the genre well and gives a fresh take on a style of shmup that is somewhere between a classic (like r-type) and bullet hell like the kind that CAVE used to make. So far 2022 is already off to a great start with new shoot em' up titles, and Sophstar will not dissapoint.
