Peter Lehman performs the Prelude and Allemande from J. S. Bach's great Cello Suite #2 on the theorbo/lute. It fits wonderfully on the instrument right from the cello score. Bach himself often adapted his music to play on different instruments. Think of this as a meditation on the intimate and challenging solo music by Bach with images from Great Meadows in Lexington, Massachusetts. Bach wrote jazz long before jazz was invented. And the sweeping phrases of the cello suite realized on theorbo provide a nice interplay between the simple nature shots from the snow covered forest of Great Meadows. It bring this ancient music forward in time.
