If you clicked on this video, you probably don't need much of an introduction to Sweden's Jan-Ove Waldner. Rather than stepping into the debate if he or Ma Long should be considered the best of all time, let's just say: There was nobody better at the time. Nobody has left as much of an long term impression on the game as he did with his prolific invention of new techniques, much of it on the fly, but so useful that others studied videos from those moments and started practicing these shots as boa fide techniques. He was at his best with the 38mm ball, and this was one of the last tournaments before the switch to 40mm. In this match he plays against Oh Sang Eun (KOR). He was one of the (if not *the*) first shake-hand players on the Korean National team, and his tall, lanky physique allowed for a smooth yet powerful stroke that was a pleasure to watch. This is a second round match (Round Of 32) Please subscribe and turn on notifications! I have footage gathered over decades that I'll be posting as time permits.
