During our time in Sri Lanka, our favourite activity is always hopping on a scooter and exploring the country off the beaten path - passing through villages, seeing the locals, the children, the untouched nature. No greater freedom and joy! In this video we are visiting the Seven Virgins Mountains (Sapta Kanya) and the beautiful Laxapana Falls at the base of this mountain. Escaping the pouring rain, we then are hopping back on a scooter again and head towards the Aberdeen Falls where we meet a group of locals singing and enjoying their time together. To reach these waterfalls you can start your trip in Nuwara Eliya (2:30 hours) or Hatton, which is about 1hr45mins away from these waterfalls. Don't forget t stop by the local huts at the side of the road and enjoy some vegetable roti! Delicious and quick bite that will always save you much needed time in such trips.
