In the pretty little 1910 bungalow at 43 Selwyn St, Dunedin, Mackersy’s has returned the period touches that had been ripped out by previous renovators. "I'm really passionate about old houses and their character. So I try to take what character they have and enhance it," says Mackersy. "That's the side of renovating that I really enjoyed, breathing life back into the house, rather than stripping it all out."
