Hollis Granoff Landauer, "Kibbutz Haggadot from Mandatory Palestine”

Hollis Granoff Landauer, a collector of kibbutz haggadot and other pre-state Zionist materials, discusses non-traditional kibbutz haggadot from the pre-1948 period. In her presentation, she reveals the lost history that these haggadot captured, including fragments of speeches, poems, and news clips. Hollis Granoff Landauer received her BA from Mt. Holyoke, MA in Near Eastern Languages and Literatures from UCLA, and BA from Simmons College (in library science). After working in libraries for a number of years, including at the University of Toronto, Hollis Granoff Landauer opened a design bookstore in Toronto "Another Man’s Poison" that focused on books on design, graphics, and architecture. For the last 25 years, Hollis has been collecting and studying kibbutz and kibbutz-related hagadot. In recent years she has become a "closet Lego builder" - building facades of buildings from vintage postcards and photos.
