Doing any query on your database is slower than actually needed. And you cannot just simply remove them because administrative tax laws, but also customers who want to see their old orders. First, I'm going to use the free version and after that I'm going to upgrade to the pro version so you can see exactly what that is all about. This is a brand new plugin created by WPPool which also creates the dark mode plug-in which I have created extensive tutorials about and I really like. So, we're going to press over here on "Start for free". Then we press on the right side on "Download". Then log in to your WordPress website. If you're still logging in using /wp-admin/... that's not a very safe way. So, please watch my tutorial about Solid Security because you don't want to get hacked. Then, on our WordPress website, we go over here to "Plugins". We're going to add a plugin, of course. We click over here on "Upload plugin" and we're going to select the file we've just downloaded from the website. Then we click on "Install now" and of course we're going to click on "Activate". Then we click over here on "Allow" or "No thanks", whatever you want. And then we go on the left side, we scroll down and we go to "ArchiveMaster". Welcome to the dashboard of ArchiveMaster. It's really simple. We can see how many orders can be archived that are one year and older. Now that's a lot. First, let me show you what we're working with. This is one of my two e-commerce website. This one sells my physical products that I actually designed myself, created myself, and ship. Well, not myself anymore. My parents do that for me right now. But this one is a very old one. Let me show you. Ooh, look at all those orders. Those are a lot. Let us go to the last one or actually the first one. So, this e-commerce website, WooCommerce, has been accumulating all these orders from 12 years. And you can imagine almost 5,000 orders inside of the same database as the website itself. It doesn't do any good for my speed. What we also see in here is a new column which says 'Archive'. This way we can see if these orders are archived or not. All right, back to the ArchiveMaster over here. The first thing we need to select is which orders are going to be archived from 3 days up to 1 year. For this tutorial, I'm going to use the one year and I'm going to press on "Archive Now". But before we do that, there's also another feature. You can also export the orders to another file. If we click that one first, we can see the select to date. We cannot do that because we don't have a pro version, but we can export change the file name over here... #woocommerce #speedoptimization
