John, where do we start with that one? That was probably the worst performance of the season, I would say, certainly the opening 45 minutes. You can understand why David Gray was so rightly angry—to use his own words there at halftime. He made three substitutions but probably could have taken six off. It never felt like they were going to get back into it. When Martin Boyle misses the penalty, you think, maybe, maybe if they scored that… but they never really looked like getting back into it, and St Mirren looked comfortable. That must be a major concern. David Gray said himself afterward that he understands the noise around his job. Is there any way, in your opinion, that he can navigate these waters? I would never try to apply logic to football or to Hibs in this situation. The only thing that makes me double-check myself is that our main criticism of Hibs is that they change managers too often. They’ve changed managers time and time again, and you end up with a bloated squad, square pegs in round holes. So why would changing now work? On the other hand, you’re bottom of the table, heading into an international break, which is always a dangerous time for a manager. If it is to be the end for David Gray, where do Hibs go next? That’s a really difficult one. It was noticeable today that the fans were chanting David Gray’s name, supporting him. They recognize that he’s been handed a difficult situation here. So I don’t know if it can be addressed just by changing the manager. You ask most fans, and they would want board changes, you know, executive-level changes, to be there. So I don’t know what they would do next, to be honest. It’s clear that the problems run deeper than just the manager. As you say, board level, player level—there seems to be a bit of upheaval needed here at Hibs. Yeah, and I think so. I think with the Black Knights and Bill Foley buying in last year, fans got excited and thought it was going to be a whole new era ahead, but that hasn’t really kicked in yet. He only invested, you know, about £6 million, but it was a minority stake. It’s not as if he’s calling the shots, but clearly, he wants some influence there. I think fans just want to see a team they can be proud of, and at the moment, they’re a long way from that. John, thank you very much for your time. #hibs #hibernian #hibsfc
