RAILAY BEACH - KRABI "WHAT THEY DONT TELL YOU" A couple of days getting the feel for the area.

Old Fogies on Tour Channel - Hello - still in Krabi Province, taking the ferry east to west AND the long tail boat north to south to Railay Beach! It feels like an island, only accessible by sea, a land mass that comes to a head south of Ao Nang and west of Krabi Town. Social media posts are full of images from here. Plenty to do for all ages a “great night life” (Walking Street) that rivals any of the seaside towns and if your staying in a resort - guest house you can enjoy to the full. As a day tripper 5 mins boat ride will get you back to the mainland night life! Plenty of places to eat drink massage parlours, laundry and a few mountain climbing stores with guides paddle board and kayak hire. We never saw low tide it happened in darkness, but it seem you can walk to East Railay (Mangrove side) at very low tide, some rocks to climb over and small back packs only (not suitcases) and again 11 hours later. Must say don’t just settle on Railay beaches make the effort to go to Tonsai (North) and Phra Nang beaches (South), But importantly go at LOW TIDE. Just one of our observations from this trip.This was Day 10-13 and yes we added our Pucket time to Krabi!
