Furiosa: The F32 435i build out https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho... As some of you know for sure, I had a carbon fiber vented hood (M4 CS replica) on my 435i. I get questions all the time about the vent itself, and if the water and more coming through the vent is going to ruin the motor. Now there are lots of options for vented hoods, and where they might be open over your motor, but when looking at OEM hoods (and exact replicas), I think you are going to be ok! The best example I thought would be to compare the M2C (not vented) with the M2 CS (CF vented hood) and look if any special precautions had been put in place by BMW. In short.. no.. the cars are exactly the same, no special ducting, rain tracks or other pieces to channel off the water.
