But it makes sense, as she's quite similar to Crimson Fury. She has a fast-firing special weapon that staggers and does considerable damage, is tied with him (and others) for lowest HP and decently speedy, and gets eaten alive in ramming situations. But her acid splash is easier to use than Crimson Fury's laser due to it being a larger sprite as opposed to one tiny ray like a machine gun bullet, as well as the fact that she can take tighter turns, effectively widening her threat radius. However, despite her weight class, she's the 5th slowest car in the game, and Crimson Fury is the fastest, so she can't keep up with him, and she's less able to decide what battles to take than him, which can get her killed due to how squishy she is. Furthermore, while her special is easier to use than the Diablo's, hers is less forgiving, as she can carry less specials than him, (her specials do less damage than his in the PC version), and hers regens slower than his. Her odd shape and open wheels also makes her especially vulnerable to getting caught in another car's body and repeatedly rammed. Ultimately when it comes to the battle between Crimson Fury and Pit Viper, Crimson is the better of the two if you can land his lasers, but when he gains twin lasers in the PC port, he more or less outshines her in every way, as her reduced demand for precision is no longer her edge over him. But honestly, both are cool. Juggling in TM1 is really fun and cool, and these are two of the best cars for it, even if Viper is not a good car overall.
