Yukimura has some of the harder to fulfill objectives in his stages, mostly because they all have time limits and expect you to travel across the entire map to do them all. In this one, the game wants you to chase after Hanzo but he literally teleports forward, so if you don't go after him IMMEDIATELY you won't catch up. Or have the foresight to turn around and intercept him but you won't think to do that until the first attempt doing this stage. At least he doesn't instant kill Masayuki, just drops him to half health. It's neat that Yukimura gets a line with Nobuyuki here. Shows they were thinking of his relationship with his brother as far back as the first game. Even if it took them 4 games to finally do anything meaningful with it. I like Yukimura just kind of being like "what's the point...?" after winning the stage. Other SW games have gone the "Yukimura wants a samurai's death" route, but this is the only one that paints it in such a negative light, like this is just the best out of a worst option for him. Kawanakajima is likely to go well since the battle mostly proceeds at your pace, but all the battles after that are more likely to go awry in some way so it does add to the feeling that everything's just going bad for Yukimura. It does well to lead into his mental state in the final stage.
