Join me on a wintertime e-bike tour of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan! We begin our journey along the riverwalk at Canal Park and make our way over Sixth Street Bridge towards the Fish Ladder. Continuing down the riverwalk to the Bridgewater Place, we cross Michigan Ave. and enter Ah Nab Awen Park where we begin to see some of the World of Winter outdoor art pieces. While making our way towards the Grand Rapids Public Museum and The Blue Bridge, there are great views of the Amway Grand, JW Marriott, and Courtyard Marriott/Plaza Apartment buildings. After crossing the Blue Bridge, we leave the riverwalk and take Monroe Ave. over to Rosa Park Circle to see the ice skating and Grand Rapids Art Museum. After a quick turn on Ottawa Ave., we take a secret route to the Calder Plaza where we admire Alexander Calder’s ‘La Grande Vitesse’. Making our way to the Federal Court building, there are great views of the Rowe, MSU, and DeVos Place buildings. Back on Ottawa Ave now, we pass by the Kent County Circuit Court, along with the Warner, Waters, Ledyard, and Trust buildings, while making our way to Monroe Center. At the end of Monroe Center, we take a right on Division and a quick left on Fulton, headed towards the Veterans Memorial Park. Now working our way back towards the city center, we pass by the Grand Rapids Public Library and Civic Theatre and take a quick look at St. Marks church. Jumping back to Ah Nab Awen park, we view the burial site for president Gerald R. Ford and his wife Betty Ford, right next to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. Now making our way to the West side of downtown, we stop by Grand Valley State University’s downtown campus and then ride through Bridge Street which is filled with popular bars and restaurants. We then turn left on Scribner Ave. and make our way back across the Sixth Street Bridge to enter Sixth Street Park. Once through Sixth Street Park, we hop back on Monroe Ave., then turn left on Michigan Ave where we finish our journey riding through Medical Mile. Thanks for watching!
