Uncirculated Pre-CBS Custom Color Strat: 1962 Fender Stratocaster Fiesta Red!

Check out this vintage Pre-CBS custom color Strat: 1962 Fender Stratocaster in original Fiesta Red finish! We purchased this from the family of its original owner a few years after he passed. It's the classic vintage guitar story: he toured this Strat in the 60s with his band until family and life ushered him away from playing professionally. The Strat was relegated to church and home gigs after that. In my opinion, the best custom color for a pre-CBS Stratocaster is Fiesta Red. But the custom color Fender world can be fraught: refins offered as original finishes abound, so how is one to verify authenticity? The original finish tells vary from year to year, but this one is textbook 1962: desert sand undercoat, clear nail holes, sharp cavity edges, and thin wood fibers on the worm rout. This guitar predates the "paint stick" Fender began using in 1963, so it has a fully painted neck pocket just as it should.
