Originally uploaded on 22 jun. 2016. Production of the M4A2 tank began in June 1942 it would have had a welded hull and one piece cast nose, with a 75mm cannon. And was manufactured by Fisher Tank Arsenal It would have had a GM 6046 twin diesel engine. This version was produced with all the improvements the other types got, like the large hatch hull. M4A2 was mostly supplied to other Allied countries under Lend-Lease. The M4A2 would see limited combat in the US Army and the French and British, would use them the most and then the Russians and USMC in the Pacific. The M4A2 would perform fairly welland would see service after the war and would see many upgrades Like the HVSS E8 tracks and, the 76mm M1 gun. The Horizontal Volute Suspension System was developed to reduce Ground Pressure and keep up with the Shermans additional weight. The HVSS system had a much wider 23 inch track, but still remained a bolt on module. It could replace the VVSS suspension on any version of the Sherman or anything based on its hull. It was very well received and used on many late production Sherman models and a few of the variants. It solved the flotation problem with no drawbacks. ■ So want to help keep me and the channel going? supporting me on Patreon will get you access to extra content for three channels in total. ■ Support me on my Patreon / panzerpicture ■ Store: teespring.com/stores/panzerpicture-2 ■ Information obtained from several sites. ■ Wikipedia ■ tanks-encyclopedia ■ the.shadock.free.fr/Surviving_Panzers ■ preservedtanks ■ pantser.net ■ the.shadock.free.fr/Tanks_in_France ■ Some music is from the YouTube Audio Library. ■ Music used: EpidemicSound.com Copyright fair use notice All media used in this video is used for the purpose of education under the terms of fair use.
