1996 Singer SB12760

An interesting upright from the 90's. This is probably my cheapest vacuum I got from an eBay bidding 6 years back. I won it for about $15 plus a $10 shipping so the price was decent. Anyways what's interesting about this vacuum is that it's a direct air upright that is made around the same era as the famous Hoover Elite and Eureka Bravo. Also what's interesting is that around the mid late 90's it was rebranded as Bissell. It's a good vacuum for carpet and rug cleaning but the tool suction is not the best but it's ok. It's a bit loud since it uses a 7 or 9 bladed fan. My Hoover Legacy 750 pretty much puts this Singer to shame since they both use a 7.5 amp motor and it's not as loud and tool suction is a little better LOL. It's using a generic Hoover type A HEPA bag and uses its original brushroll. 2 years ago I managed to take it apart and cleaned it up thoroughly and replaced the fan since the original one was a bit worn and managed to get a replacement rug plate since I realized the original one had a broken piece on the side. It came with the original combo upholstery/dusting brush and crevice tool but it was missing the wand so added one. The hose is ok it's just a little stiff but that's what you expect for a low end upright. Other than that it's still a good vacuum. Enjoy. UPDATE: May 26th: This vacuum is no longer in my collection. It has been sold on eBay to a new home and owner.
