Polaroid Flip Review - Exactly what the market wanted?

AD/ANZEIGE In this episode, Jules and I review the brand new Polaroid Flip, a point & shoot instant film camera that sits between the high-end Polaroid I-2 (which we have reviewed before) and the less expensive NOW+. The Polaroid Flip only costs 199 USD or 219 EUR. This gets you a beautiful, smart camera that takes design cues from the modern I-2 as well as predecessors from the 1970s and 80s tapping into Polaroid’s 80 year history. In terms of features, you get a hyperfocal 4-lens system, a sonar autofocus, a powerful flash that reaches up to 4.5 meters and a scene analysis feature that helps you avoid under- or overexposure. Arguably, this is the Polaroid camera the market had been waiting for. While the I-2 was aimed at professionals and ambitious amateurs, the Polaroid Flip targets a much broader audience - basically everyone who is looking for a point & shoot instant film camera that reliably delivers good results.  Jules and I took the camera out for a test prior to its official launch shooting mostly color film at the Olympic Stadium in Munich from 1972. The camera supports both Polaroid 600 and I-Type films which have a sensitivity of ISO 640. At the time when Polaroid 600 was released, this high sensitivity was a true game changer in comparison to the SX-70 film with its ISO of 160 and gives you plenty of latitude in darker situations.
