This wild life corridor will be of 6 lanes on a single pillar. Single pillar technique is being adopted for this, so that minimum concrete is used in the forest. A total of 571 pillars are to be built for this corridor, out of which 450 have been built. The distance between the pillars is 21 metres. Animal routes will be made for animals This Asia's longest wildlife corridor will start from Mohand and will be built till Datkali temple. NHAI is making this corridor based on the suggestion of Wildlife Institute of India. The 340 meter long tunnel near Dutt Kali Temple in Dehradun will help in reducing the impact of vehicular movement on wildlife. At the same time, cattle routes have also been made in the Ganeshpur-Dehradun section to reduce animal-vehicle accidents. Shivalik Forest Division will be close to both Uttar Pradesh and Dehradun Forest Division Uttarakhand. NHAI is constructing the corridor based on the suggestion of the Wildlife Institute of India. Two elephant underpasses are also being built on this corridor, the length of which is 200 meters. At the same time, 6 underpasses are being made for the animals.
