Twin Lagoon gets its name from the fact that it consists of two separate lagoons connected by a narrow opening in the limestone cliffs. During high tide, the only way to move between the two lagoons is by swimming or kayaking through the underwater tunnel. At low tide, you can pass through the opening at the surface, but it’s still an exciting and memorable experience. Unique Features Crystal-Clear Waters: The lagoons are known for their incredibly clear, turquoise waters, which offer excellent visibility for swimming, snorkeling, and even just relaxing on a boat. The lake has both freshwater and saltwater layers, and as you dive deeper, you’ll experience a significant increase in temperature—from around 28°C (82°F) at the surface to as high as 38°C (100°F) at deeper levels.
