For a while I've been wanting to slip away to the woods and do some long distance ruck-marching, bush camping, and maybe even a little knife/gear testing. Although I didn't capture all of the firewood batoning, feather-sticking, whittling, etc., I tried to film intermittently during the trip and did my best throughout the editing process to keep things as authentic as possible. Believe me, this is far from a tutorial on "how to build the best shelter" or have "the best chance of survival in a life-or-death situation"--This is a chance to watch someone else make the mistakes through trial and error that you might be able to avoid yourself. With that being said, I'm not totally new to this stuff and there's a chance you might learn something useful or at the very least hopefully it's somewhat entertaining to watch me struggle and suffer.
