Rather, this element is extracted from ores and minerals. Usually, Holmium is obtained from monazite, a mineral found in the Earth. However, Holmium is also present in minerals such as euxenite and gadolinite. Commercial Holmium is obtained through solvent extraction methods or ion exchange chromatography.
