Although designed with the hope of being an effective antidepressant, it had more clearcut results for ADHD. But from the beginning, many, many people haven’t responded well to the medication. It seems to take a long time to work, and lots of people have troubling side effects. And that’s not just in comparison to stimulants. A recent head to head comparison with another non-stimulant for ADHD, Qelbree (viloxazine) found that Strattera was less effective, had more side effects, and took longer to provide benefits. If Strattera is working for you, great, keep taking it.
