Is Fields of Mistria worth buying in early access? I bought Fields of Mistria with my own money, have played over 14 hours at the time of this review, and will share my honest, unsponsored opinion of the game. I'll also show how Fields of Mistria plays on Steam Deck and an ultrawide monitor and the updates planned on the roadmap before the 1.0 release. Fields of Mistria is a new cute and cozy farming and life sim game with a bit of magic, minor combat in the mines, unlockable skills and cosmetics, and 12 characters you can romance (with more to come). It's a game like Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons but focusing on character interactions, magic, and a cozy color palette. Fields of Mistria released into early access on Steam on August 5th, 2024, currently costs about $14 US, and does not yet have plans to port to Nintendo Switch and other consoles like XBox and Playstation.
