In this special episode of Us As We Are, our crew ventures to the Eastern Oregon town of Paisley, home to the oldest bar in the state of Oregon: The Pioneer Saloon. We get in on the party, talk to the bar's owners, staff, and local cowboys from the surrounding ranches. What we find in Paisley isn't just the story of a bar - it's the story of a community, built on a rich history of wild west action fit for film, nestled in a strikingly beautiful part of rural America. Near the town of Paisley is the Paisley Caves, the site of the oldest so-far-found DNA evidence of human habitation in North America, as well as Picture Rock, a petroglyph from a similarly ancient time. After our visit at the Pioneer Saloon, we drive off the beaten path to investigate these locations for ourselves.
