SThis city is always quiet, calm, and safe, residents often left their doors unlocked. At 24, Melinda married Bruce, and together they had three children, two daughters, Megan and Anna, and a younger son, Kyle, who has Down syndrome. The children give meaning to her life, and she devoted a lot of time to Kyle, striving to give the boy a fulfilling and happy life. The family lived in a spacious, cozy two story house, and a large basement. Melinda worked as a math teacher and also coached the school football team. She leading an active and fulfilling life, while Bruce worked as an accountant. In 2015, their 19 years old daughter Megan moved to another city to attend college. The eldest daughter, Anna, who was 20, had been engaged to her high school boyfriend, Jeffrey Scullin, also 20. Anna worked as a waitress, while Jeffrey was a technician who serviced heating systems. As they were planning their wedding, Anna discovered she was pregnant, which brought joy to the whole family. Anna's parents suggested that Jeffrey move in with them because the couple couldn't afford their own place. Anna and Jeffrey happily agreed, because they needed both material and emotional support, along with help in taking care of the baby. Jeffrey moved in with Anna's family in June 2016, just before their daughter was born. The baby was born on July 3 and was named Aurora. Everything went well. Melinda helped Anna take care of Aurora, helping the young couple save money for their wedding and buying a house.
