Footage is from Build 270, but has no functional differences to 253 in terms of the level design itself. This is mostly just a litmus test for running and capturing Xenia on my system. Everything seemed okay aside from some emulation bugs (such as the flickering, but clearing runtime caches fixes that). This'll set me up for X360 prototypes in the future, but perhaps a new GPU is in order. Anyway, this is Pursuit (pursuit.ff), a cut level from Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare's development. First appearing sometime before Build 253, and being removed entirely after Build 290 with no changes in between*. I remember seeing Pursuit being showcased a few years back when these prototypes surfaced (I wanna say by Prototype Preservation? RIP that channel though). I can't say why, but the level left an impression on me and is something I always thought about whenever CoD4 and its development is mentioned, so it was pretty cool getting to look at the level myself. This is basically a runthrough of the level. I don't believe anyone has tried to piece together a scenario for the level rather than just looking at it, so I threw in my two cents on what I think the plot of the level was going to be. Towards the end, I briefly speculated on where this level may have fit into the original Modern Warfare story. Though considering the design mantra of "Design First, Lore Later" situation CoD4 was going through, anything goes. Still, I'd be curious what others think? The opening section of this level was recycled into backdrop for MW2's Karachi: • Cut Pursuit used as Karachi backdrop *Build 290's version of pursuit.ff has a higher placed Sea Knight, and has bugged lighting, making some areas glow red. I believe that's due to a missing asset for lighting linked to the map? I've seen similar things in other CoDs, but I haven't dabbled in mapmaking before, so I'm not entirely sure. Other than that, I'm fairly certain nothing else has changed. Timestamps 0:00 - 3:12 Map Section 1 3:13 - 9:26 Map Section 2 9:27 - 17:48 Map Section 3 17:49 - 21:10 Speculation and Map Overview
