Lapland in Summer - Kilpisjärvi Trails & Arctic Impressions

This video captures short impressions of our journey to Kilpisjärvi in the far north of Finland in June 2025. We take a scenic walk up Salmivaara with wonderful views over the village and Lake Kilpisjärvi. We hike the traditional mountain Saana, take a boat trip aboard the M/S Malla across the lake and hike the iconic Three-Country-Cairn, where Finland, Sweden and Norway meet. During a late-night road trip across nearby Norwegian border we visit the Lyngenfjord to capture the soft golden light of the midnight sun. We walk through the Malla Strict Nature Reserve across the arctic tundra to see Finland’s impressive Tears of Malla waterfall Kitsiputous.
