Introducing LVGL Designer Mode: Visual UI Editing for a Complete Workflow

The LVGL UI Editor just took a big step forward! We’re introducing the first version of "Designer Mode" in LVGL Pro. Until now, LVGL Pro has focused on XML-first development. It’s powerful, modular, and extremely flexible. But it also comes with a learning curve. Designer Mode adds a new, simplified visual workflow on top of that foundation. You can now build UIs with your mouse, similar to creating slides in a presentation tool, while keeping the robustness of XML under the hood. This is not about replacing XML. It’s about adding a scalable workflow layer: 👉️ Core engineers build structured, reusable component libraries in XML and C 👉️ They control which properties are exposed 👉️ Designers, junior developers, or customers assemble UIs visually using approved components 👉️ Deployed products can still update their UI via XML without reflashing firmware Designer Mode is intentionally limited by design. The goal is not visual editing for everyone. The goal is a professional workflow that scales from design → reusable components → real products.
