This is for the guys using my rig for the Ozzy Tribute. Quick setup overview: 4 cable method setup. Red: goes to the send of the loop Purple: goes to the return of the loop Blue: goes to the channel switching Yellow: goes to the amp input. Please don't unplug any of these cables from the rack. Your guitar cable goes to the front input of the G System that will be in the rack. Make sure the edit button is not lit. If it is you wont be able to switch presets. If lit, tap it once to exit EDIT MODE and it you will be able to switch presets. The EDIT button is also the TAP TEMPO so if you press it an odd number of times it will be in EDIT MODE if the G system doesn't think you're trying to tap a tempo. This only happens if you tap too slow. Once you see the tempo being displayed it doesn't matter how many times you press it. It won't go into EDIT MODE. So if you're playing and it wont change presets, it's in edit mode. (This feature allows you to save changes on the fly without touching the pedalboard with your hands) Each preset has access to all the FX. I have saved the presets with a general FX combo that should be a good baseline. The bank you want to be in is 00(1-5) and the the last number correlates with the preset number 1-5. You can add or subtract any effect on any preset as desired. Hitting the PRESET (1-5) button again will restore it to the saved configuration. So you don't have to turn off FX individually that you turned on. Turn them all on individually like a traditional pedalboard and simply press the same preset button again and it will revert back. The TUNER is the button labeled LOOP3. It will silence the rig so you can unplug and or tune. The WAH (filter button) is assigned to presets 002 through 005. It's touch sensitive. just move the pedal and it's activated. Stop moving it and after .5 seconds it will be disabled. The GATE is the button LOOP1. This should be set fine for just about any guitar with humbuckers. If you find that it's killing your sustain then let me know and I'll walk you through how to adjust it. Preset 001 - 005 are: 1 clean, 2 crunch, 3 regular gain, 4 high gain and 5 lead. Preset 001 Clean Channel: FX: Comp, Chorus, Delay and Reverb Preset 002 Crunch: Distortion Channel, Wah (touch sensitive on and off), Comp - set to lower output (equivalent to turning down guitar volume half way) Preset 003 Regular gain: Dist Ch, Wah, and Gate Preset 004 High gain: Dist Ch, Wah, Comp (for more gain), Gate, and Reverb Preset 005 Lead Dist Ch, Wah, Comp, Gate, Chorus, Delay, Reverb and Boost (4db) If this sounds too much like work just use preset 3 or 4 and turn the fx on and off like a traditional pedalboard. Let me know if you have any questions here or FB. I hope you enjoy it! Notes: all the tone is coming from the amp. The G System has no distortion FX. If you do chose the preset option know that the Time Based FX will spill over when you change presets and or disable them. This means your reverbs and delay trails wont be cut off. There is no drop out of signal switching between presets or when adding or subtracting FX.
