In this video I break down 4 simple points of performance that will instantly improve your deadlift technique. 1. Bar Over Mid-Foot Start with the bar directly over the middle of your foot. This keeps the bar path efficient and balanced. 2. Neutral Spine Maintain a strong, neutral spine from head to hips. This protects your back and allows you to transfer force safely. 3. Drive Through the Floor Instead of yanking the bar up, push the floor away with your legs. Think of it like a leg press against the ground. 4. Hips and Shoulders Rise Together Your hips and shoulders should move at the same time off the floor. If the hips shoot up first, you lose power and put unnecessary stress on your back.
