Why The Cinderella Live Action Fails (a 2015 Cinderella Roast/Review & OG Cinderella Defense Video)

I’ll talk about how the live action remake of Cinderella is broken and also defend the 1950 Cinderella movie after rewatching the original one after ages. After considering 2015 Cinderella as my favorite Disney live action remake for a long time, I talk about the flaws I failed to notice back then and how the plot of the live action remake of Cinderella fails. Most bad things start happening to Cinderella when she is a grown up woman for the sake of giving Lily James more screen time as the protagonist, but she does what she is told anyway for the sake of pushing the plot forward in this almost 2 hour long movie, hence why her character fails in this remake. Some excuses are given to try to address the issue of grown up Cinderella staying the house, such as Cinderella “treasuring the house after her parents passed away”, Cinderella running away or Cinderella not caring about what happens next when she was still locked up in the attic because she had her “beautiful distant memories” with the prince, but all these attempts fail as Cinderella leaves the house anyway after marrying the Prince in the end, when she returns to her old house after meeting Kit in the woods and how she behaves in an unrealistic baffling way by singing and dancing around as she is locked in the basement, among other things I talk about in my video.
