Biswabrata Goswami KRISHNAGAR, 1 SEP: The Krishnagar Police District in Nadia today observed 1 September as Police Day in recognition of the work done by the men in uniform. In this regard, the Krishnagar Police District arranged a programme at Post Office More in Krishnagar where district magistrate Shashank Sethi, SP, Ishani Paul and additional district magistrate (general) Sekhar Sen were present. Before the programme, they took out a rally to aware people about save drive and safe life. While speaking at the programme, Mr Sethi said, “Policemen work selflessly and they are risking their lives while tackling the Covid-19 pandemic and handling law and order problems at the same time. But they have not budged. We want to honour them.” SP, Ms Paul said “This Police Day programme has been observed from last year after the announcement by the chief minister. This year, we are observing the day through a small programme.
