Chet was a master of many musical styles. He could play country, classical, western swing, jazz and many others. "Bluesette" is a jazz standard, composed by Toots Thielemans. First recorded by Toots Thielemans in 1961, with lyrics added by Norman Gimbel, the song became an international hit. Chet performed the song on the 1964 record "Progressive Pickin'". This one of his recordings that ventures into the soft jazz genre. This record contains songs like "Jordu", "I remember you", "Satan's Doll", "Summertime" and others. And it contains two songs by Jerry Reed, namely "Kicky" and "Early Times". The liner notes are by Johnny Smith (who I'm also a big fan of). I recorded the song with a Duesenberg Gran Majesto. A Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb was used as an amplifier. The only effect device was a Universal Audio Max. I programmed the backing track with piano, double bass and drums using the "Real Tracks" from "Band In A Box".
