Today’s topic: The Haunted Key 1935 Nate Leipzig 1937 Tops Magazine article by Ormond McGill 1942 Edwin Corrie said that he purchased a key in 1942 at Snyder's Magic Shop in Cleveland 1952 Jaks' fingertip handling was published in PHOENIX issue 246 (January 11, 1952), p. 984, with an illustration by Jaks. 1963 John Mulholland's Book of Magic has the “Spooky Key” on page 76 1972 Close up Magic for Beginners by Harry Baron 1972 1973 Van Cleve had it in a set of lecture notes 1979 Body Magic by John Fisher Describes the fingertip balance and the key turning inside a book 1976 Charles Cameron published the fingertip balance in DEVIL'S DIARY, crediting it to Dr. Jaks 1978 Both versions (palm and tip of middle finger) are included in Martin Gardner's Encyclopedia of Impromptu Magic. The fingertip method is attributed to Dr. Jaks 1983 Key to Borley Rectory by Martin Breese First to use a balanced key Supreme Magic released The Haunted Key.
