Tuesday, December 5th, 2006 LA Jazz Masters Series Four Points Sheraton LAX Al Viola - guitar Sam Most - flute, reeds, vocals Chuck Berghofer - bass Julie Morgan - vocals The LA Jazz Master Series was created for the legendary guitarist Al Viola after he appeared at the Four Points Sheraton in 2000 as the special guest artist in a musical Tribute to Julie London. Sam Most is recognized as the first great jazz flutist, often referred to as the "Godfather" of jazz flute. Chuck Berghofer has kept playing jazz besides his studio work on countless pop and rock records that were produced in Los Angeles. Julie Morgan invited Al to appear in her Tribute to Julie London and created the Series which ended in February 2007. This was Viola's last appearance at the LA Jazz Masters Series.
