WILD-COUNTRY HELM 3....overview.

A quick overview of the wild-country helm3 tent by terra-nova. Not seen a review of this tent on youtube, although did see Leona Pye using one on a wildcamp at Stickle Tarn(good video...Leona and Chris Pye, they do a hell of a lot of hiking)...........Its a 2 pole tent which stands independently without the need to guy-out, quick and easy to set up and on a level pitch its very stable when fully guyed out. I used it on a coastal wildcamp with the Mrs and our Labrador and it was roomy enough for us all. Its a 3 season tent although I wouldnt use it in very windy conditions(up to 30mph winds will be ok). I picked this one up at Uttings for £149 2years ago, dont think they do it now as the new ''compact helms are now available''..............at a much higher price, quite frankly I dont think they are worth the extra money and I would get the original design for a much lower price. The tent stats are shown in the video......its perfect for 2 people(and a dog lol) you can split the weight between you...........I've always wondered what the minimum and maximum weights are all about, it weighs the same unless you leave part of it at home and why would you do that !
