The young rabbit has a good appetite but would start eating his long hay with the molar teeth by tilting his head sideways recently. The owner cut the hay into small pieces to resolve the problem. But the rabbit's eye started to show inflammation and tears, probably due to abrasions from the short pieces of hay stuck accidentally inside the eye. There is a large corneal ulcer in the left eye - causing pain and eye discharge. Dental extraction of the 6 front teeth is permanent solution. Clipping of the teeth by burring is an altlernative that must be done 2-3 monthly. The rabbit went home on Day 2 after dental extraction with E-collar and antibiotic eye drops. As at 4 days after dental extraction, there was no complaint of the rabbit's health from the owner.
