Traditional Rogan Art and Copper Bell Art in Kutch, Gujarat
Day 21 in India, we went to see Rogan Art in Nirona Village which came to Kutch 400 years ago. It is practiced by only Abdul Gafur Khatriβs family today. Rogan art is produced by castor oil and is a delicate art with designs produced by free hand. This art is carried out on bags, dress materials, jackets and wall art. In the same village, we went to see the copper bell art. The bells are handmade in different shapes and sizes and each bell has a different sound.
