Seitan Seasoning: (1st option) 2 tsp garlic powder 2 tsp onion powder 2 tsp Mexican adobo seasoning 2 tsp browning & seasoning sauce 1 Tbsp instant coffee 1 Tbsp cocoa powder 1 Tbsp shiitake mushroom powder 1 Tbsp better than bouillon seasoning 4 Tbsp liquid aminos 2 Tbsp Sesame oil 1/2 cup of canned beets 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard 1 Tbsp Tomato Paste 1.) add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth to create a paste. Add water as needed (a Tbsp at a time) if the paste is too thick. 2.) Using a blender or food processor combine washed flour dough and seasoning paste together. Do this in small batches as to not put too much strain on your blender or food processor. Simmering Broth: ( SIMMER For 1 HOUR) McCormick- garlic herb black pepper & sea salt seasoning blend 1 Tbsp Vegan Consommé Chili powder Add seasonings to taste. Seitan Seasoning: (2nd option) more color and Al Pastor flavor. 2 tsp garlic powder 2 tsp onion powder 2 tsp smoked paprika 1/2 small fresh beet (peeled) 1/4 of 3 oz. achiote paste square (about 1 Tbsp, I used El Mexicano brand) 1 Tbsp instant coffee 1 Tbsp cocoa powder 1 Tbsp Mushroom powder 1 Tbsp vegan Consommé 2 Tbsp vegetable oil 4 Tbsp liquid aminos or low sodium soy sauce 3 Tbsp vegan Worcestershire sauce 1.) blend all ingredients together until smooth to create a paste. 2.)
