Material list: Figure 1 Kydex® Press Materials List Count Material 1 ea 3/4" plywood 16” x 8” 1 ea 3/4" plywood 12” x 8” 1 ea 3/4" plywood 4” x 8” 1 ea 2x4 @ 8" 1 bottle Wood glue 1 can Spray glue 2 ea 3 ½ wide hinges 2 ea 8” x 12” foam sheets 2 ea Wood clamps 3 ea 1” drywall screws 6 ea 3” deck screws 8 ea 1” bolts with lock washer and nuts 1 ea Electric Drill 1 ea Drill Bits 1/8", 1/4", 31/64" 1 ea Electric saw 1 ea Speed square 1 ea pencil Steps: 1. Organize tools and materials 2. Layout frame and dry fit 3. Glue 2x4 piece and secure to the 16x8 plywood 4. Pre-drill and use drywall screws to secure plywood to 2x4 5. Glue 4’x8’ plywood and place on other side of 2x4 6. Measure and layout hinges on 12x8” plywood 7. Pilot drill then secure base hinges on 4”x 8” plywood and 2x4 side using 3’ screws 8. Square upsides and mark and drill out the holes for mounting the bolts in the 12” x 8” plywood 9. Put bolts in from beneath and secure with a wrench 10. Test hinges once in place 11. Mock fit the foam 12. Spray glue smooth side of the foam and place into proper location 13. Do this with the other foam pad as well 14. Leave in place and clamp it down to dry in place 15. Once it's dry inspect and use.
