In this video, we will be showing you how to install and set up Batocera on your Raspberry Pi. Tutorial: https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-b... Raspberry Pi Imager: https://www.raspberrypi.com/software/ RetroPie: https://pimylifeup.com/raspberry-pi-r... The list below shows some of the equipment we used when setting up Batocera on our Raspberry Pi. Please note if you make any purchases through these Amazon links, we may earn a small commission. Batocera is a distribution aimed at turning a device like the Raspberry Pi into a retro gaming machine. It is very similar in some respects to the popular RetroPie project. Batocera is a collection of a huge range of different emulators, enabling you to play games from numerous retro systems. This ranges from the beginnings of video game consoles like the Atari 2600 to more popular retro systems like the PlayStation and Sega MEGA Drive. The advantage of using Batocera on your Raspberry Pi over RetroPie is that it tends to be a bit more user-friendly and plug-and-play. You should be able to get it up and running with little to no tinkering. For the best experience, we highly recommend using a Raspberry Pi 5. Thanks to its significantly improved CPU and GPU, this will yield you the best performance.
