I'm exploring a lesser known location in Dartmoor National Park in Devon (SW England) to explore the 3 key creative decisions that I make when photographing rivers and waterfalls. I'd love to hear what your creative decisions are when you're out and about - please let me know in the comments. Shots taken over two years serve to illustrate how shutter speed, camera position and water flow can dramatically affect the personality of your subject as well as the power you can convey in your photo. One of these shots was featured in the top landscape photography magazine in the UK: Outdoor Photography Magazine ... yes, I'll show off here. I'm never happier than I am when I've got my wellies (rubber boots) on and am chancing it with the water levels in a the water. Stuff I shoot with here: Canon EOSR EF 24 - 105 lens Nisi polariser DJI Osmo Pocket 2 A big sense of humour when things go wrong :-) Acai thermal and water resistant trousers - I can't tell you how much they have saved my bacon in wet and windy conditions (they don't know I'm posting this BTW). I look forward to hearing your ideas so I can learn from you. I'll also be putting a vid out regarding seascapes and creative decisions soon... and maybe a version of this in non UK settings.
